Employee Opinion and Action Planning
The 'Engaging for Success' Report concludes that engagement is far more likely to occur within an organisation when employees have opportunity to give their views, and see that their views are acted upon.
Grass Roots offers tools and solutions that help organisations to capture and analyse employee opinion, and deliver post-survey action planning.
Capturing & Analysing Employee Opinion
We have extensive experience in capturing opinion, analysing data and identifying priority actions.
Our Employee Voice tools enable organisations to capture employee opinion using web, SMS and interactive voice response (IVR). We also deliver focus groups and telephone interviews to capture valuable verbatim comments.

Engagement Pulse Surveys
Engagement pulse surveys are an effective way to quickly understand current levels of engagement - within a specific department, or across the entire business. The Grass Roots Pulse Survey can be deployed rapidly, measuring the employee opinion across each of the five key areas of Culture & Environment, Leadership & Management, Reward & Recognition, Purpose & Development and Communication.
Employee Engagement Healthcheck
The Engagement Healthcheck is a more detailed engagement review, using a combination of focus groups, telephone interviews and face-to-face interviews. As with the pulse survey, the Engagement Healthcheck measures the employee opinion across each of the five key areas of Culture & Environment, Leadership & Management, Reward & Recognition, Purpose & Development and Communication.
As well as providing detailed root cause analysis and the verbatim comments, the Healthcheck includes recommendations for both quick win actions and the longer-term strategic initiatives required to address the issues identified.
Action Planning
Listening to your employees is just part of the equation. The key to success is acting on the feedback and demonstrating to staff that their opinion really matters. We use correlation analysis to help identify which areas to focus on in the short and medium term. We provide practical tools that help you to:
- Interpret results from pulse surveys
- Develop prioritised actions based on feedback
- Enable line managers to deliver activities that address specific issues identified in a survey
