What is global warming?

Global warming is just what it sounds like - it describes the fact that the average temperature across the globe is increasing.

The vast majority of scientists agree that the atmosphere heats up because “greenhouse gases” trap the sun’s heat inside the atmosphere. The greenhouse gases are responsible for more than just global warming. Read on to find out how they affect climate change.
