The government is continuing to encourage economical and environmentally friendly transport to and from work.
Grass Roots has been successfully operating bike4work for many years now. In partnership with our sister company Cyclescheme we offer a convenient, tax efficient ‘Select and Collect’ system.
Employees receive details of the scheme from their employer, explaining that they can secure the use of a cycle on very advantageous terms provided that its use is at least 50% work-related. They log on to the cyclescheme website, talk to our call centre or visit one of our 1500 independant bike retailer partners to select the cycle that best meets their needs and their budget. A form consenting to the deduction of the appropriate amount of gross salary over a period - usually 12 months - is then completed.
The form is sent to Grass Roots, we process the necessary minimal paperwork and send the employee a voucher which they then take to the retailer to collect the cycle - it couldn't be easier.
