Grass Roots in Sunday Times Top 100 Treble
9 March 2009

For the third year in succession, performance improvement company, Grass Roots, has been included in the Sunday Times list of 100 best companies to work for in the UK. Headquartered in Tring, the firm which offers communication, education, measurement, rewards and event services to an array of blue chip client companies, has moved up the table to number 48 following the results of a confidential questionnaire, sent by research agency Best Companies, directly to its employees. It is the only full-service performance improvement firm to be included in the list.

Nearly 1,000 companies completed the 2009 survey, with organisations across all industries competing for the accolade of being announced a top 100 company to work for.  The Sunday Times list aims to recognise businesses for their skill, energy and dedication to making employment a worthwhile experience.  The process involves employees scoring their own organisation on a range of factors such as Leadership, My Company, My Team and Well Being.

The results summary once again highlights Grass Roots' principled style of management with staff expressing great faith and confidence in leadership of Chairman David Evans and Managing Director Andy Lister. As was the case last year, the company's capacity for 'Giving Something Back' is featured as a major strength. Indeed Grass Roots achieved the second highest score of all 100 companies listed, for taking care of the environment and helping the local community.

Chairman and founder David Evans expressed his pride over the achievement of the third consecutive listing: 'It's hugely encouraging to know that we continue to practise what we preach,' he said. 'I believe this gives us enormous credibility when we are talking to clients about how we can help them with their own employee engagement challenges.'

Andy Lister has already set new goals for the coming year: 'This is part of an ongoing journey. We most definitely will not be resting on our laurels.'
