Every great journey begins with the first step. This is yours. Before you send in that all important application, here are some hints and tips to help you along the way:

The Essentials

  • Read the Grass Roots website carefully and ensure that you have a thorough understanding of who we are and what we do
  • Ensure you have understood the role and skill requirements and think carefully how your experience fits the role
  • Apply for roles that you are genuinely interested in – this will help to focus your application
  • Combine your CV with a covering letter explaining why you are right for the role and why you would like to work for Grass Roots.

About You

  • We want to understand you and what makes you tick - we want to understand what drives you and how you bring this to the working environment…so tell us about it
  • Look objectively at your application – can you easily identify how your skills and experience make you our ideal new recruit?
  • Make sure your CV reflects who you are and your experience – remember it is the first thing we see and a well-considered application for a role that you have the right skills and experience for is much appreciated!

So that you know what you can expect from us, we thought that we would outline our typical HR recruitment processes for you…

  • If your application is successful you will receive contact from us to invite you to attend an interview at one of our offices. 
  • After the first round of interviews we shortlist further and you can expect feedback on how your interview went.
  • Most of our positions have a second round of interviews, which may include a presentation, to ensure that we really get to know each applicant and their strengths - we don’t want great people to slip through the net!
  • Normally after this stage we will make an offer to the successful candidate, and hope to welcome them to the team.
