Get Green e-learning programme

Grass Roots has developed an e-learning based training programme about going green. Entitled ‘Get Green’, the aim of this online training course is to introduce employees to the whole concept of climate change, including the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (formerly known as the Carbon Reduction Commitment), reducing harmful emissions, energy saving and the greenhouse effect. It illustrates how we can all help to reduce our impact on the environment.

Get Green has been specifically designed to arouse curiosity and engage the audience with appealing visuals, animation and interactive multiple choice sessions. There are five comprehensive sections for participants to explore including Green Definitions and Ideas to Get Green. Within the course there are links preceded by ‘To find out more go to…’ - great for those who want to learn more.

Compelling evidence is forcing organisations across the globe to assess their impact on the environment and how they can become more sustainable. The Get Green online training programme is therefore designed to complement the initiatives that many companies are now considering in line with the 2008 Climate Change Act and the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (Carbon Reduction Commitment).

The objective of this distance learning programme is to help you raise your employees’ awareness of the impact on the environment of their actions at work and at home and to empower them to do something themselves. As with our other e-learning programmes, participants are given a programme code and individual PIN with a multiple choice test at the end to verify understanding. Participation reports are provided to management on a fortnightly basis so they can see how many employees have experienced the online training.

We can all take practical steps to save energy and reduce our carbon footprint, so if you want sight of the full programme, contact Matt Rouse or Alick Miskin. Alternatively, to see a sample, click on the link at the top of this page.
